Usually the first printed item purchased by anyone with products or services for sale, business cards are both inexpensive and effective. Many successful business people feel that their best form of marketing is meeting face to face with potential customers and leaving them with a functional, attractive business card.

Virtually all business cards for use in the United States are 3.5 x 2 inches in size, which fits in standard card holders and files. To include more information, cards can be printed on both sides, or foldover cards may be used.

Business cards are frequently printed in full color now that new technologies have greatly reduced the cost, but one- and two-color cards are also popular.

Offset, Digital or Raised?

Choose offset printing if you can allow several days for production and need a quantity of at least 250. You'll get the best quality at the lowest cost.

Choose digital printing if you are in a hurry or need a small quantity. You'll still receive great quality at a competitive price, but paper and coating options differ from offset.

Choose raised printing if you prefer the look of engraving without the high cost (one or two colors of ink only).
